ZooCrew Teen Conservation

ZooCrew presented by TVA

Zoo Knoxville’s ZooCrew program is tailored for high school students that are interested in conservation science and practice. This is a program for students that want to establish hands-on skills they can take into the workforce or to college. This crew will not only enjoy Zoo Knoxville’s wildly fun exhibits, but they will also adventure into nearby wilds! We’ll be learning by doing conservation.

  • ZooCrew members must be in 9th – 12th grade.
  • The ZooCrew meets every other Saturday for eight Saturdays.
  • We meet from 9:30am to 12:30pm (if at the zoo) or 9:00am to 12:00pm (if away from the zoo).
  • Price is $175 per student for one semester.
  • A Zoo Knoxville annual pass or Circle of Friends membership is required to attend classes at the zoo.
  • With parental consent (signed waiver required), student(s) can sign in and out on their own. Without a waiver, both the student(s) and the parent/guardian who brings the student(s) to class must either have an annual pass or pay admission. Visit the Memberships page to purchase an annual pass or Circle of Friends membership.
  • Zoo Knoxville is unable to transport the ZooCrew at this time to their off-site outings. They will have to be dropped off or drive themselves to the offsite areas. No location is more than 30 minutes away from Zoo Knoxville.
